Wilnett Branch was born on July 30, 1949, to Wilmer Branch and Lucy Bell Allen, living at 113 North Harding Street in Ocala, Florida, Marion County. Wilnett was the youngest of three, Dorothy Vernon and Rayvon Branch.
Wilnett attended Madison Elementary School and Howard Middle School in Ocala, Florida, and Albion High School in Albion Orleans County, New York.
In December of 1968, she married Ronnie Jean Davis and from their union two sons were born, Ronnie Jr and By'Ron.
Wilnett attended Clark Atlanta College where she received a Bachelor's of Arts degree in History. Later on in life, she gained a Masters of Arts in History from Prairie View A&M University. Later on during her life, Wilnett remarried Marvin Lawson in March of 1998, where they lived in Temple, Texas until her last day.
On Sunday, October 27, 2024, in Temple, Texas, Wilnett quietly and peacefully left this earth to begin her eternal life in Heaven. While Wilnett is no longer here, her spirit lives on.
Wilnett leaves behind to continue her story, husband, Marvin E. Lawson of Temple, TX; four sons, Ronny Davis, Ir. and By'Ron Davis both of Houston, Texas, Avery Lawson and Kenneth Riley both of Temple, Texas; two grandchildren, Ronnie Davis III and SiRon Davis, both of Houston, Texas; two great- grandsons, Ronnie Davis IV and Javid Davis both of Houston, Texas; and a host of relatives and friends.
