Willie Jean Kinsler

August 18, 1938 ~ August 30, 2022 (age 84)

Willie Jean Kinsler was born to the late Otis Anderson and Willie Mae Gaines in Ocala, Florida on August 18, 1938.  She was adopted at the age of four by her father McDuffey Gaines and was raised in Kendrick, Florida.
Her early education began at Mt. Tabor School and later she attended Fessenden High School graduating in the class of 1957.
She married Lester Lee Kinsler and their union lasted for 56 years till his death in 2016. Willie Jean grew up attending Mt Taborv AME Church where she accepted Christ at an early age. She moved her membership to New Saint Mary Missionary Baptist Church after marriage where she was a faithful member for 50 plus years. She was deaconess and a mother to many.
Willie Jean enjoyed church revival, noon day prayer, watching tv, traveling and keeping up with her friends and family members, going out to eat and spending time with her grandchildren.
She attended Howard Beauty Culture School where she studied cosmetology. During her working years she was employed in various industries (Daycare, School Cafeteria, Assisted Living and Senior Care Centers).
Most of her life Willie Jean lived in Ocala, Florida. She grew up with her cousins and they nicknamed her “Gator” because her bite was just like one. She later adopted the nickname “Queen Willie Jean”.  Whether you knew her as Willie Jean, Jean, Mom, Sister, Aunt, Grandma, Big Ma, Friend, Gator, or Queen her candor, humor and fire will be missed. Willie Jean answered the master call with family by her side on August 30, 2022.
