Roosevelt Nichols, Sr.

Roosevelt “Pee Wee” Nichols was born on December 28, 1950, in Martin, Florida, to the late Willie "Tom" Nichols and Frances Lee (Cox) Nichols. He received his formal education at Fessenden High School class of 1968 in Ocala, Florida.

In his leisure time, Roosevelt enjoyed farming and found great joy in tending to his hogs, cows, fruits, and vegetables. His passion for the land and his animals reflected his hardworking spirit and love for simple pleasures.

Roosevelt leaves to cherish his memory five devoted children: Roosevelt Nichols, Jr. (Tarra), LaSharon Davis (Perrin), Stephen Pack (Jasmine), Kevin Nichols (LaTonya) and Kaysie Nichols,; his beloved siblings: Jessie Woods, Thomas Nichols (Evelyn), Gladys Nichols, Charles Nichols, Lorenzo Nichols (Joyce), Lois Nichols Dowdy (McCoy), Phyllis Nichols, Jennifer Nichols, and Charles Nelson along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, niece, nephews cousins and sorrowing friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, William “Trent” Courtney; brother Nathaniel “Bobby” Nichols; his parents, Willie "Tom" Nichols and Frances Lee (Cox) Nichols; and his grandparents, Naricuss (Jackson) Burnett, Lanis Cox, Sr., Willie Belle Nichols, and Charles James Nichols.

On April 23, 2025, Roosevelt “Pee Wee” Nichols, Sr. peacefully departed this life. His legacy of hard work, family love, and quiet strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
