Rodrick Jefferson Obituary

Rodrick Jefferson was born on August 24, 1963, in Ocala, Florida, to the late Earl Jefferson and Dorothy Howell.

Rodrick received his formal education through Marion County Public Schools and was a proud graduate of Forest High School, Class of 1981.

He was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Fatima T. Jefferson. Together they shared 40 years of love, including 30 years of marriage, building a life centered on faith, family, and devotion. Rodrick was employed by My AC Guy, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.

On August 3, 2026, Rodrick peacefully answered God's call and entered into eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Jefferson; his mother, Dorothy Howell; his mother-in-law, MaryLee Boone; his sister, Yantana "Bay-Bay" Jefferson; and his nephew, Quentin "Polo" Samuel Jr.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his devoted wife, Fatima Jefferson; his children, LaTavia (Kevin) Merritt, Rodricka Jefferson, and Diquan Jefferson (Amber); his fathers-in-law, David Woodberry (Carolyn) and Cary Boone; his brothers, Earl Jefferson (Delano), Pastor W. G. "Bill" Jefferson (Maureen), Thomas Jefferson (Pam), and Reggie Pearson; his sisters, LaTanya Jefferson, Pastor Joretta Cooks (Pastor Alonzo), Minister Sharon Samuel (Elder Quentin), Natasha Burton, Annette Weems (Latrell), and Renell Smith. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Ta'Yani Brown, TaMar Smith, Tai Lynn Sears, Teyton Smith-Griffin, Demetrius McBride, De'Nhala McBride, Bryson Jefferson, and Carson Jefferson; his great-grandchildren, DaMari Clayton and Kynnedi Taylor; his godsister, Mary Garrison; along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members
