Queen Ann Howell
Queen was the third oldest of eight children of the late Levi Cobarris Sr. and Roberta Simmons-Cobarris, arriving on May 31, 1937.
Queen was a graduate of Fessenden High School, Class of 1955.
Her work history includes Monroe Regional Medical Center, Lady Bay Yard, Barnett Bank, and her love, Ocala Cluster, where she performed the duties of house mother for mentally handicapped adults.
While employed at MRMC, Queen met her king by the name of Joe Henry Wright Sr. After a short courtship, they married. This union introduced to the world three sons: Rodriqueze, Joe, and Doral.
Queen, in her spare time, loved fishing, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Queen was an active member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church until her health began to fail.
On March 21, 2026, a great rose was cut from the bush by the Heavenly Garden because He saw her tiredness and sickness was becoming too hard to bear. He decided to bring her home for a replant in glory.
Queen leaves to cherish her memory sons: Rodriqueze (Shedra) Wright and Joe Henry (Jerilyn) Wright, Jr. Extended sons: Tracey Turner and Rodney Smith. Extended daughter Karen Stokes and daughter-in-law Laytonia Wright. She was blessed with twelve grandkids: Shayla (Corey) Mitchell, Rodriqueze (Karen) Wright, Jr., Marvella (Courtney) Miles, Rodney Wright, Regina Wright, Chelsea Wright, Kim (Ken) Ossam, Desiree Wright, Nichols Wright, Arianna Wright, Paris Wright, Rodnita Wright, and a special grand Hope Thomas. She leaves 20 great-grands and one great, great-grand Za’nyla Thomas. Sisters: Kathelia Thornes, Annie Lee (Samuel) Edwards, and Phyllis (Harvey) Davis. Brother Lawrence (Barbara) Cobarris.
She was preceded in death by her son Doral M. Wright; parents Levi and Roberta; sisters Martha Turner and Eva Mae Holt; and brother Levi Cobarris, Jr.
