Mr. Norman Lee Horn Sr was born February 7, 1928, to the late Emma Cannan and Frank Horn in Monticello, Florida. He was the eldest of 5 siblings: sisters Mary Jones and Mamie Thomas and brothers Samuel Crockett and Charlie Holmes. Norman served in the United States Military, and after separating from the military, he, along with his parents and sibling, relocated to Lake City, Florida. Mr. Norman loved serving his community and decided to join the police force; as the first black African male, he served on the force for many years. Many knew him as "Old Man Norman." Mr. Norman loved traveling as a self-employed contractor with years of experience in logging and farming. Mr. Norman was also a Master Mason with PR Bailey Lodge #486. He was united in Holy matrimony to Ceola James, and to this Union were born three children.

On the evening of January 20, 2024, Norman L Horn Sr., 96, of Citra, FL, peacefully transitioned to be with his Heavenly Father at Grace Davis Hall House (Hospice Of Marion County). Mr. Norman was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Cason; Father, Frank Horn; wife, Ceola James Horn, Sister Mary Jones, and Mamie Thomas; brothers, Samuel Crockett and Charlie Holmes; grandson, Rufus Donely Jr; and his nephew, James Crockett.

Mr. Norman Lee Horn Sr. leaves to cherish his precious memories: his sons Rufus Donely(Delores), VA, and Robert Tuggerson(Mattie) Citra, FL. Norman Horn(Susan) Citra, FL. Herman Horn Sr(Etta)Sparr, Florida, daughters: Angela Davis of Orlando, FL, Norma Jean Ricks(Anthony), Orlando, Florida, and Pamela Horn of Ocala, Florida. Twenty-seven grandchildren: Julie London, Machelle Tuggerson, April Tuggerson, Soshanna Wilson(Leamon), Tameka Tuggerson, Sedrick Horn Sr, Janice Horn, Robert Tuggerson Jr, Kelsey Donely, Etora Horn, Anthony Clinton,(Keisha), Jermaine Horn, Herman Horn Jr, Denonya Clinton, Jasmine Smith(Doug), Brandon Tuggerson(Katie), Norman Horn(Kenyada)
Kevin Clinton(Kiana), Tyrell Horn, Deontia Horn, Vanysse Horn, Donteria Horn(Denaja), Tequilla Poke(Darell), Destiny Clinton, Keinyra Clinton, Alana Horn, and Ethan Horn, fifty great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, a host of cousins, and sorrowing friends.
