Minnie Simmons

Minnie M. Simmons was born on February 17, 1934 to Alene Rose Raiford and Gilbert Raiford, Sr. in (City and State) Zuber, Florida.

Minnie received her formal education at Fessenden Elementary School Ocala, Florida. 

Minnie accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior at an earlier age and was united with New Saint John Baptist Church. Where she served on the mother board.

She employed by VA Hospital in Gainesville, Fla. as a Nurse’s Aide for 30+ years.

In her leisure, she enjoyed raising farm animals and gardening.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory:
(daughters) Verletha Simmons, Bernice D. Williams, Francine L. Crowell, (son) William Kennedy, (brother) Dr. Gilbert Raiford, Jr., 
(sister) Adele Brown, (grandson) Gilbert Williams, (granddaughters) Clarissa Bridgeforth, Verletha Santiago (Edgar Santiago, Jr.), Deborah Beckett, Ashely Kennedy, Tashanika Jones, Brittanie Kennedy, and a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

Minnie M. Simmons answered the master call on February 2, 2023.
She was preceded in death by (father) Gilbert Raiford, Sr., (mother) Alene Rose Raiford, (sister) Cora Javis, (sister) Roberta Smith, (sister) Bessie Raiford,  (grandchildren) La-Keisia Crowell, Clarence Bridgeforth and Terrance Bridgeforth and (great Grandchild) Isaiah Ivey.
