Lula Mae Jones, 56, of Ocala, Florida departed this life on May 18, 2026, at HCA Ocala Hospital.
Born April 25, 1959, in Ocala, Florida to the late Herman and Loubertha Jones. Lula received her education in the Marion County School District. She was a graduate of North Marion High School (Class of 1977). Lula accepted Christ at an early age where she attended Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church with her family.
She was employed by the Marion County School Board as a Food Service Technician until her retirement. Lula enjoyed being with her children, family, cooking, music and feeding the homeless.
Lula was preceded in death by her parents (Herman and Louebertha Jones, sister, Marqeta Brown, Clyretha Baker, brother, Herman Jones, Jillette Jones and companion of (45 years) Earl Joe Brown.
She is survived by her devoted children: (daughter) Chaquanda (Delshawn) Planter, (son) Earl Joe Brown, Jr., (grandchildren) Tenijan Brown, Trinity Brown, (siblings) Christine Frazier Anthony Jones, Earl Jones, Valerie Jones, Herman Lee (Wesley) Baker, Sherlene (Earl) Simmons, Herman(Viola)Jones, Wendell Jones, Darrell(Watonya) Jones, Gwendolyn(David) Gadson, Latresa Jones, Michael Jones,(aunts) Betty Lovett, Laverne Frazier, ‘Gereline Gainey, (uncles) Morris Frazier(Stella and Eddie Frazier.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM, Saturday, Mary 30, 2026 at Ebenezer Independent Free Methodist Church, 5595 West Highway 326, Ocala, Florida 34482.
