LESTER BERNARD VANCE, Jr.

Ocala, Florida- USAR Con Cp (Retired) Lester Bernard Vance, Jr., 76, transitioned to be with his heavenly father on December 08, 2020 at his residence. He was a graduate of Fessenden High School

 (Class of 1961) and a member of New Chapel MBC. Mr. Vance served in the United States Army, retiring  as a USAR Con Cp. He received VCM-1, ARCOM-4, NCOPDR-3, NDSM-1, VSM-1, AFEM-1, OSR-4, ASR-1, AFCM-7, RIFLE MI6A1-Expert, VN Counter Offensive Phase lll, TET Counter, (Military Education) General Supply Specialist, Senior Supply Sergeant, First Sergeant Crs. He was a member of the Brady Owens VFW Post #7193, Marion County Honor Guard, former member of The American Legion.

He is survived by: (wife) Gloria Monts Vance, (Daughter) Viola Vance, (step-son) Earnest Miles, Jr.,

 (step-daughters) RayShawn Engram, Marcella Hopkins-Gaines, Sherriva James, Radrita James, (uncle) Lucious C. Stevenson, (15) Step grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 2:00PM until 5:30PM on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Hadley-Brown Funeral Home. Interment will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. Covid -19 restrictions will be enforced. (Everyone must wear a face covering)
