Mr. Kevin Lamaar Geathers was called home to be with the Lord on September 18, 2024. He relinquished his link in a chain that formed a loving family circle; broken over the years by the death of his mother, Juanita Ernestine (Cook) Eaddy, father, CJ Geathers, brother; Earl Clement Eaddy, brother Charles Eaddy, Jr., and sister, Carolyn Torbert.
Kevin was born September 4, 1962 in Ocala, Florida. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. Rooted and grounded in his faith in God, he worshipped at Grace United Community Church in Miami Gardens, Florida.
Kevin graduated from Vanguard High School in 1981 and continued on to Central Florida Community College to earn his associate degree. He later enlisted in the United States Army where he served honorably for four years. He continued his military service as an active member of the United States Army Reserve. Kevin decided to further his education by enrolling at the University of Central Florida where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. After graduation he began his career as a Probation Officer with the Florida Department of Corrections, where he worked diligently until retirement. Kevin had a kind and generous heart and never hesitated to help those in need whenever the opportunity arose.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his siblings: Donald B. Eaddy (Al-Jeanette) of Marietta, Georgia; Larry S. Geathers (Wanda) of Altamonte Springs, Florida; Vicki D. Williams of Ocoee, Florida; Shelia G. Green (George) of Miami, Florida; Gregory C. Geathers (Vickye) of Ocala, Florida, a dear God-Sister, Mrs. Gloria J. Greene of Ocala, Florida and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Kevin Lamaar Geathers will lie in repose for one hour prior to the service.
