JOHNNY SLATER, SR.

Ocala, Florida – Mr. Johnny Slater, Sr., 70, transition at his residence on September 15, 2021. He was a graduate of the last graduating class of Magnolia High School (Class of 1970). He attended Thomas Area Technical School completing the Machinist and Welding Program. Johnny served in the United States Marine Corps.

He leaves to cherish his memories: (wife) Aretha Slater, (children) Altovise(Keith) Andrews, Tara Slater, Nakedra Slater, Johnny Slater, Jr., (Six) grandchildren, (sisters) Annette Bletcher, Dorothy  Bryant, Catherine Slater, Janice Slater, Geraldine Hadley,(brothers) Roger(Denetrice) Slater, James Slater,  God-Children,( Mother-in-law) Inell Burgess,  a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.

The Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00AM on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at New Covenant MBC West Lawn, Rev. Stanley Jacobs, Pastor. Interment will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021 in Thomasville,GA.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 3:00PM-7:00PM at Hadley-Brown Funeral Home.(Walk through only).

Covid -19 restrictions will be enforced. Everyone must wear a mask.
