Mr. Jiramy Lee Pace, Sr was born December 15, 1941, in Alma (Bacon County) Georgia to the late Frank Pace and Flizabeth Coachman Pace. The sixth of eight siblings - six of whom (Willie, Stephenson, Ida Mae, Lucinda, Frank G., Jr. and Samuel, Sr.) preceded him in death. Also, Jimmy was married for 44 years to the late Martha Lee
Brown Pace, who preceded him in death. A daughter (Cynthia Regina Pace) born to that marriage also preceded him in death.
Jimmy was reared and educated in Georgia. He was raised in the church and brought up in the fear and admonition of the Lord. For a time, he forsook his training and strayed from the church. BUT GOD, by His overwhelming goodness, grace and mercy enabled him to return to the God of his childhood and give his life to the Lord Jesus Christ.
For several years Jimmy worked with his older brothers in the family home repair and renovation business. Thereafter, for about 20 years, Jimmy was a professional truck driver - driving 18 wheelers across the country. He also served in the U.S. Army for six years, one month and 29 days at Ft. Ord, California, Ft Jackson, South Carolina and the Republic of Vietnam. Among his awards are the National Defens Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, the Sharpshooter Badge (Rifle), Marksman Badge (Pistol), Combat Infantryman Badge, and the Purple Heart. We owe him a great debt of gratitude and honor for his dedicated and sacrificial service to his country and our nation.
