Jessica Latrice Gillans

Jessica’s life was one marked by love, strength, and dedication. She received her formal education both in the United States and Germany, graduating from Vanguard High School. Continuing her education, she attended Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, FL.

Jessica accepted Christ as her Savior at a young age and was a devoted member of  Total Man Mission Church in Ocala, FL, where she faithfully served as an usher under the leadership of Pastor Mary and Ronnie Holt. Her unwavering faith in God and her love for His Word were guiding lights throughout her life.

Professionally, Jessica worked as a health care aide, a role that allowed her to express her innate kindness and care for others. In her leisure time, she enjoyed traveling, attending concerts and parties, and most importantly, spending time with her family. Her strong will, determination, and fun-loving spirit were sources of inspiration to those who knew her.

Jessica’s life was centered around her family, and she cherished every moment with them. She leaves behind her beloved children, Jeffrey Hamilton (son) and Jasmine Hamilton (daughter); father, Jesse Gillans;  mother, Gwendolyn Flowers; stepmother, Michelle McNeil; brother, Jesse Lewis Gillans III; sisters, Brandi Gillans Myles and Certoya Faith Gillans; stepsister, Sheronna Ware; grandfather Irvine Gordon, and  special nephew, Jyzekial Gillans, god parents, Joyce and Earl Autry, Jessica is also remembered by a loving family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who will forever hold her memory dear.

Jessica Latrice Gillans departed this life on October 1, 2024. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Etheleene Gordon,Ruth Smith, grandfather, Lucious Roberts,  aunts, Shirley Harris, Valerie, LaShawn Roberts; uncle Jospeh Roberts, step-father Ralph Flowers.
