Ocala, Fl – Mrs. Gertha Lee Butler, 106 years of age, transitioned to be with her heavenly father on August 24, 2021 at her residence. Gertha was born on June 25, 1915. She was a gift from God to the late George and Laura Sims White. She was known to many as (Aunt Gert). Gertha was a woman of much wisdom. She retired as a homemaker, she loved to bake, recite poems and fishing. Gertha was a lifelong member of New Hope MBC. She served as a Sunday School teacher, choir member, usher, kitchen aid and assisted the Mother of the church in preparation of communion.

To mourn her precious memories: (a devoted niece), Ovedia Rhoulhac,(her babies) Latanya Piner, Cierra Tuggerson,(as her children),)Geneve Tuggerson, Ovedia Rhoulhac, Wanda Francis(Peter), Deborah Rodriquez(Luis), Delores Nowell and Richard Lewis, Jr. (preceded her in death) a host of nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephew, cousins and sorrowing friends. Gertha was united in holy matrimony to Isaac Butler for 63 years until his demise. She was also preceded in death by all of her siblings, May, Irene, Alma, Tessie, Albert, Theodore, Joseph, Wilbur and Toliver.

A Graveside life celebration will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, September 04, 2021 at New Hope Memorial Gardens, 8900 N.E. 27th Terrace, Anthony, Florida,32617.

Visitation (walk through only) will be held on Friday, September 03, 2021 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at Hadley-Brown Funeral Home. Covid-19 restrictions will be enforced. (Everyone must wear a mask)
