Gloria Maxine Mitchell Jacobs was born on September 15, 1923, in Menifee, Arkansas, to Hilary Mitchell and Laura Steve. A dedicated and hardworking woman, Gloria devoted her professional life to the field of nutrition, working as a dietician at Jackson Memorial Hospital until her retirement. Her passion for caring for others extended beyond the workplace and into her home and community, where she was known for her warm heart, strong faith, and nurturing spirit.
Gloria was a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister-in-law. She is survived by her devoted son, Ronald Jacobs (Deborah); her loving sister-in-law, Janet Moore; and her grandchildren: Crystal Demps (Malcolm), Ronald Jacobs, Jr. (Samantha), Kalebra Reed (Karl), Isaiah Jacobs (Vattinique), Jamal Jacobs, and Lamont Jacobs (Lakecia). Her legacy lives on through them along with a host of nieces, nephews and the many lives she touched with her kindness and strength.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Jacobs, and her sons, Dirk Jacobs and Theo Burnett.
Gloria will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered for the life she lived, the love she gave, and the wisdom she shared.
