Elijah Junior James Sr

Mr. Elijah James Jr. finished his journey here with us on Thursday, September 14, 2023.  He was a lifelong resident of Zuber, Florida. He attended Fessenden High School and participated in football at South Carolina State University.  He also was a veteran of the United States Army.

Mr. James worked numerous jobs through out his career.  Those jobs consist of Swift & Company, Gas Delivery and E-One where he retired as an Engineer Draft Designer.  

Elijah James leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife of 58 years, SaVera Mobley-James, Zuber, FL.Daughters, Veronica Vereen Hudson of Ocala, FL.,Patricia James, Peggy James and Latarshia (Pam) Durden all of Zuber FL.,  Sons, Marvin Mobley, Ira Mobley and Elijah James III(Tawana) all of Ocala, FL.,Grandchildren, Sydnie Hudson (Lynnsey) Orlando, FL., Micah Hudson, Joel Hudson (Nakitta) and Nicholas Hudson all of Ocala, FL., Deion Allen, Gainesville, FL., Eryka Butler, Elijah Lawrence Jr., Myka’i Durden, Preston Durden and Ikora Mobley all of Zuber FL., Sister,  Alisha James Wilson (Ernest) of Jacksonville, FL., Sister-in-laws – Linda Thomas, Sylvia Mobley and Cassaundra Thomas, Brother-in-laws- Pastor Lionel Mobley (Priscilla) and Everard Mobley. Mr. James is blessed with 18 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends. 

He is proceeded in death by: Father - Elijah James Sr.,Mother - Elouise Anderson James, Father-in-Law- Preston Mobley Sr., Mother-in-Law- Mary L. Mobley,Sisters – Emma Lee James Ingram and Purnchetta Edge, Sister-in-law – Mary C. Mobley, Brother-in-laws – Preston Mobley Jr., Rudolph Mobley and Eddie Gene Mobley and Grandson –Myke’al Durden.
