Carol Butler Obituary

 

Carol Jacinta Butler was born on july 26, 1962 to the late Deacon Alfred J. Butler and Gloria W. Butler.

She was educated in the Marion County Public

Schools. She graduated with honors from North Marion High School, Class of 1980. Carol attended Florida State University earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. She was employed by the United States Postal Service until she became ill.

Carol accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior at an early age. She was baptized at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church and also enjoyed fellowship at Mount Tabor AME Church with her mother.

While in Tallahassee, Florida she was a faithful and active member of Metropolitan Cathedral of Truth under the leadership of Pastors Kennith and the late Helena Barrington.

After returning home, Carol joined Mount Tabor, AME Church, Rev. T. P. Nelson. Carol loved singing in the choir and studying God's word.

After becoming ill, she remained under anointed and prayerful coverings: Mount Tabor, AME, New Hope MBC, Pastor Rev. Dr.

Michael J. Baker, Sr. and Glorious Hope Christian Life Center, Pastor Apostle Ovedia Rhoulhac.

She leaves to cherish her everlasting memory, a loving and devoted mother, Gloria W. Butler. Three sisters, Veronica Damon;

Alfreda Whitter (James), of Anthony, Florida; Bridget Butler of Tallahassee, Florida. Two brothers: Alfred Keith Butler, Sr., Anthony, Florida, and Jemison Thomas (Tomia) of Fort Meade, Maryland. One sister-in-law, Monique P. Butler of Jacksonville, Florida. Three nieces: Evony Damon, Ashley Cohen-Huff (Trevin) and Brittany Cohen. Seven nephews: Marquise Taylor, Kyle Whitter, Javon Thomas, Jalon Thomas, Tarick, Morgan, Dedrich Morgin and Alfred Keith "AJ" Butler, Junior. Three great nephews: Rubin Beckford, Evan Taylor, and Axel Taylor. One great niece: Aubrey Taylor. Five aunts: Billie Hudson, Annie F.

Barbour, Vivian Brown all of Ocala, Florida, Cheryl Baker.

(Jimmie) of Sparr, Florida and Ollie Mae Butler of Silver Springs, Florida. Her ride or die, a loving and loyal friend, Laura Ann Johnson of Ocala, Florida,

Along with a host of cousins, friends, and associates to remember her time with us and mourn her passing.

Her father Deacon Alfred J. Butler. Three brothers: Michael Dale Butler, Kevin Demar Butler, and Kelvin Lamar Butler preceded her in death.
