Carl Holt Obituary

Carl Holt, born July 26, 1952, to the late Alma Holt Cook and the late Augusta Kinsler, passed away on September 1, 2025.

Carl was a proud graduate of Fessenden High School, Class of 1970. Following his education, he devoted his life to farming, a calling that reflected his love for the land and his strong work ethic. Beyond his career, Carl found joy in cheering for his favorite football teams, the Florida State Seminoles and the Dallas Cowboys. Whether in the fields or in front of the TV on game day, he lived with passion, loyalty, and heart.

He was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Fay Autry Holt, and together they built a home filled with love, faith, and family.

Carl is survived by his wife Fay Autry Holt, his children Iris Starkes-Butler (George), Juanita Honor (Marty), Carlisa Crews, and Aariel Holt; grandchildren Cortez Holt, Lemul "Qua" Walker, Jauan Charles, Roemel Charles, George Butler III (Lillian), and Duke Smith; and great-grandchildren Angel Rushing, Kyndal Walker, Jaleah Charles, Jaila Charles, Roemel Charles Jr., Ja'Cee Charles, and Myla Charles. He is also remembered by his sisters Jessie Woods, Patricia Washington (Nathaniel), Alma Cook, Bethania Cook, Cindy Cook, Doris Kinsler-Robinson (Dennis), Carla Kinsler-Cave (Brandon), and Wanda Kinsler-Swift (Reginald); along with special loved ones Antwan Shuman, Antonio Shuman, and Jalisa Robie; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Carl will be remembered for his devotion to family, his hard work on the farm, and his passion for football. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
