Booker T. “Book” Lanier was born March 15, 1948, to the late Theodore Lanier, Sr. and Kathleen Jackson-Lanier in Tarrytown, GA. Booker received his formal education at Miami Carol City High in Miami, Florida. In 1968, Booker enrolled in the United States Marine Corps where he fought bravely in the Vietnam War. Booker T. Lanier received a Purple Heart for his heroic deeds to his servicemen and country. Booker accepted Christ as his savior at an earlier age and joined Triumph the Church of God in Christ where he served as a lay member in the Kingdom. Booker T. Lanier was united in holy matrimony with Agnes L. Scrivens on November 6, 1975, in Miami, FL. To this union, they were blessed with 7 children. He was preceded in death by (wife) Agnes Louise, (son) Earl Henderson, (parents) Theodore Lanier, Sr. and Kathleen Jackson-Lanier, (grandparents) Luther Lanier, Adella Lanier, Jerry and Iola Jackson, (siblings) Luther Lanier, Ira Lanier, Norris Lanier and Ethel Lanier-Gibbs. Booker “Book” Lanier leaves to cherish his precious memories (children) Renee Henderson, Pheobe Armbrister, Rhonda (Robert) Maxwell, Terrence (Sharon) Lanier, Tyrone Lanier, Murray Lanier, special daughter/niece Carissa (Rashad) Wheeler, (siblings) Udell Mills, Irene Thomas, Catherine Gilmore, Sheryl Githuka, and Verna Puerto, 34 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews cousins, and sorrowing friends.
