Atha Mae Allen was born on May 23, 1925 in Otter Creek, Florida to the late Mattie Perkins. Atha was reared in Otter Creek, Florida. She resided in Gainesville, Florida and spent the last 11 years as a resident of Parkland Care Center.
During her years of employment, Atha was a custodial worker at Santa Fe College. She was a member of Johnson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
Atha was preceded in death by husband, Phillip Allen and son, Glen Allen. On Wednesday, February 3, 2021 Atha went home to be with the Lord.
Precious memories will remain with: Her sister – Mildred Benjamin of Fort Pierce, Florida; Her Daughters – Evelyn Anderson, Helen Allen of Gainesville, Florida; Grandchildren – TaWanda, LaToya(Jeff), Shawntak, Anthony, Demetric, Tiara(Andre), Yata, Xavier, Deante, and Xavion; Brother-In-Law – John Bowman of Pensacola, Florida; Sisters-In-Law- Emma Kingsbury of Gainesville, Florida, and Betty Bowman of Jamaica Queens, New York; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins,and devoted friends
