Amelia M. (Cooper) Kiner
EARLY LIFE:
Amelia M. (Cooper) Kiner was born on February 3, 1952, in Ocala, Florida to the late Crisp Cooper Sr. and Queenie (Lecorn) Cooper.
She began her Christian walk at Calvary Baptist Church in Santos Florida where she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior.
EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT:
Amelia attended Belleview Santos High School. Her employment history included work for the Marion County School Board as a Cafeteria Aide and work for Munroe Regional Hospital as a Unit Secretary. She was a dedicated employee bringing order and skillful service to her employers.
FOND MEMORIES:
Amelia was a talented cook who was famous for making her sweet potato pies on the holidays, often ensuring that her grandchildren got a whole pie. She was a genuine person who loved life and always “kept it real” with her family and friends. She enjoyed cookouts and other gatherings with family and friends. She cherished her grandchildren and was so protective of them, she felt only she could correct them if they were wrong.
LEGACY:
She was preceded in death by her two sons: Arthur L. Kiner Jr. and Brian G. Kiner, Sr; and her brothers: Eugene Lecorn Sr., Crisp Cooper Jr. and Joseph Cooper.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Children- Angela Kiner Williams (Solomon) and Deanna Clay (Herb); Grandchildren- Brandon Kiner, Tierra Kiner, Marcell Thompson, Milecia Thompson, LaKira Kiner, Diamond Kiner, Brian Kiner Jr. (Shamyra), Ilgel Kiner, Levarus Clay, Elias Clay, Aria Clay; Great Grandchildren- Javon Oliver, Jayla Oliver, CameronKiner, Amaya Snell, K’yier Kiner, Kearri Kiner, and Danaris Whaley; Siblings- Geraldine Baxter, Nathaniel Dempsey, Carolyn Jenkins (Tony), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
