Chester Allen Pullings was born on September 7, 1941, in Blitch-ton, Florida, to the late James and Aldonia Puttings. He received his earty education at Pine Grove Elementary School in Blitch-ton. A lifelong man of faith, Chester accepted Christ at an early age and remained rooted in service throughout his life.
* He was a faithful member of Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where he served in numerous capacities including Chairman of the Deacon Board, President of the Usher Board, a member of the Finance Committee, and Superintendent of Sunday School His unwavering dedication to the church and community left an enduring impact.
On September 14, 2014, Chester was united in holy matrimony to Evangelist Mattie in Morriston, Florida. Their union was a testa-nent to love and faith, exemplifying devotion and companion-
Chester enjoyed a simple and fulfilling life. In his leisure, he found peace in farming and fishing activities that mirrored his patience, hard work, and love for the outdoors.
He departed this life on May 26, 2025. Chester was preceded in death by his wives Evangelist Mattie Helfin Pullings and Dorothy Bell Pullings; his son James "Mickey" Pullings; daughter Na-ticha Hames; and his siblings SFC Bill Pullings (Emma), Elijah
"Jack" Pullings, SFC Curtis Pullings, SSG Donald Pullings, SGT
Leon "T90" Pullings, Virge Pullings, Essie Clark, and Francine Smikle. He was also preceded in death by his brothers-in-law Robert Clark and Cleophus Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his sons: Allen (lulia) Pullings, Amos Oliver (Ashley), Raheem Wilson, Derrick Oliver, and his daughters: Fayola (Tarick) Williamson, Fondreika Wilson, She-dria Thomas, Andrea Jones, and Lena Mae Richardson. Siblings Carolyn Johnson, Virgil Pullings, Sr, Major Jake Pullings (tene), Clarie Heath and John Heath, in-Laws; Frances Willis, Barbara Pullings, Willie Jean and Joyce Wiltiams. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends who will continue to, honor his life and legacy.
