Tolar E. Williams, Sr. 75, of Williston, FL passed on September 5, 2018 in Gainesville, FL after a long illness. He was born May 11th, 1943 to the late Brumbie B. and Annie E. McLaughlin Williams of Reddick, FL. He graduated from Fessenden Academy in 1961 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in April 1962. He served 20 years in the Navy as a Boiler Technician on several different types of ships and reached the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer. In 1982, after honorably retiring from the Navy, he held a variety of jobs and was self-employed as a farmer and truck driver, and unretired back to these jobs at least three different times due to boredom.
He is survived by his former wife Gladys and six children, Tolar Jr, Brumbie (Denise), Brandon, Micheal (Lekana “Kay”), Darvin (Chandra), and Wynonia; brothers, Ferdinand (Juanita) Williams, Benjamin (Beverly) McMahon, and sisters, Dorothy Peterson and Elnora Mitchell; grandchildren, Brianna, Kaleb, Cayden, Faith, Aiden, and Trinity; and a number of nephews, nieces, and close friends. He was assisted in his final days by Vanessa Lamar, a close friend.
He was predeceased by his brother, Brumbie “Phenicle” Williams, sister Patricia Taylor, and Charlotte Griffin, mother of Wynonia.

Graveside Service, Campground Cemetery, Fairfield, FL ; Saturday, Sept. 15, 9:30am
Repast immediately afterward at Blue Sink Community Center.
