On Saturday, September 23rd, 2017, Ms. Fannie Mae Chisholm received a call she could not refuse. It was a call from her heavenly Father, welcoming her to her new home. Mrs. Fannie M. Chisholm, age 86, was born on February 26, 1931 in East Lake Weir, Florida to the late  Mr. & Mrs. Charles Smith, Sr.  She was the sixth oldest of 11 children born of this union. Mrs.  Chisholm was a graduate of Howard High School, Class of 1939.  She also attended Paine College in  Augusta Georgia. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Rev. Ezekiel Edward Chisholm, Sr.  for 63 years. To this union, six children were born. She accepted Christ as her Savior at a young age and was baptized and fellowshipped at East Lake Weir Baptist Church. 

Mrs. Chisholm was a devoted pastor’s wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.  She also loved cooking, singing, gardening, doing crossword puzzles, and studying the Bible. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Gertrude Smith, her husband, Rev. E.E. Chisholm Sr., brothers, Charles, Earl, Arthur, and Clarence Smith, and sisters, Vera Lewis, Thelma Weir, Doris Smith, and Ellen Baskaren.  

Memories of Mrs. Fannie M. Chisholm will always be cherished by three devoted sons, Vernon Chisholm (Brenda) of Ocala, FL, Ezekiel Chisholm, Jr. (Evelyn) of Ocala, FL, and Craig Chisholm (Sabrina) of Ypsilanti, MI; three loving daughters, Vera Shaheed (Amin) of Reddick, FL, Connie Chisholm of Tampa, FL, and Tinia Chisholm of Ocala, FL; one brother Carl Smith (Deborah) of Lady Lake, FL; two sisters, Dorothy Smith (Alan) of Paris, France, and Florence Johnson of Boston, MA; three grandchildren, Aisha Shaheed, Kendra Chisholm, and Carmen Chisholm; six brothers-in-law, Kofi Baskaren of Agoura, CA, Albert Chisholm of Ypsilanti, MI, Walter Chisholm (Joyce) of Miami, FL, Van Chisholm (Sandra) of Detroit, MI, Ozell Chisholm (Arlena) of Tampa, FL, and Marvin Chisholm of Ocala, FL; three sisters-in-law, Eileen  Woods of Lady Lake, FL, Jean Smith of Boston, MA, Marie Parnell of Inkster, MI, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other sorrowing relatives and friends. 

Celebration of life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday September 30th 2017 at Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Otis Williams, Pastor. 14485 West Highway 326, Morriston, Florida.The eulogist will be Ezekiel Chisholm
